WBKRDB team inspects under construction Khambu houses at Ratomate, Bhalutar near Sonada
Total 500 Khambu Rai houses are allotted to the deprived Khambu Rai people of Darjeeling hills. Accordingly, cash and housing materials are distributed to beneficiaries enlisted by The West Bengal Khambu Rai Development Board. Currently, over 250 Khambu houses are under construction in all over Darjeeling hills, since the inception of WBKRDB.
Therefore, time to time, WBKRDB members and Board Chairman along with government officials are taking accounts of field reports, where construction of Khambu houses are going on under WBKRDB. Similarly, WBKRDB Chairman Sri MS Rai and Pasang Bhutia, Sr. R.O, L.R Dept. along with Board Members visited Chitre, Ratomate, Bhalutar near Sonada under Darjeeling subdivision on July 26, where dozen of Khambu houses are under construction.
Most of people are happy about the houses provided to them under the govt. scheme through WBKRDB. Inspecting Team has found out that the most houses are being constructed properly as per norm provided to them and on time.
Meanwhile, WBKRDB is strictly observing and evaluating the field reports. It has also plans to allot more Khambu houses in future to the deprived Khambu people living in the hills.
