A review meeting was held on 11.11.2016 at P.O.,B.W.O., Shibamandir, Siliguri, Shibamandir to discuss the progress of the different schemes of the various Development Boards.

The meeting was chaired by Shri S.K.Thade, IAS, Principal Secretary, BCW Dept., Govt. of WestBengal and attended by ADM,(Gen), Darjeeling, Member Secretaries of the Developement Boards, Chairmen, Vice Chairmen of Khambu Rai, Mayallyang, Tamang, Bhutia, Sherpa, Manger and Limbu Development Boards. The Boards presented their progress reports. The Principal Secretary stressed the need to strictly adhere to the rules relating to the accounting procedure so that there will be no problem at the time of audit. He also advised to update the Websites regularly and  complete the scheme as per norms and as scheduled so that further  fund can be released in time.

The Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of Kami, Damai and Sarki Development Boards which were formed at the time of visit to Kalimpong in September by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Miss Mamata Banerjee. Also present were the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the newly formed Bhujel and Newar Development Boards.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to and from the Chair.
