A Government Notification was issued on July 31, 2018, with a new Chairman and vice chairman, nominated three new Board members for West Bengal Khambu Rai Board. Shri Depraj Rai and Mrs. Sharda Rai are nominated as the new Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Khambu Rai Board respectively. The names of previous Rai Board Chairman, Shri MS Rai and Vice chairman, Shri SM Rai, are not listed in new nominated Board members. All the resigned Board Members, who had resigned during the 104 days strike in 2017, are excluded in a new Board. Three new members, Purnima Rai, SK Rai and Brigendra Rai are added as new members of the Board.

General Body meeting is likely to be held any time soon with new members of Khambu Rai Board in Darjeeling.

The ‘The West Bengal Khambu Rai Development Board’ was constituted vide resolution SBCW-1387/16/6E-95/2015 dated the 10th February, 2016 and duly published in the Kolkata Gazette on the 10th February, 2016.
