Incessant rainfall for last one week in the hills has impacted so severely to common people of the hills of Darjeeling. Linkage roads to Darjeeling and major other places like Siliguri, Kalimpong etc has been disrupted due to landslides and people of hills are facing tremendous problem procuring basic daily needs.

Similarly, we have received numerous reports of landslides that have affected our Khambu Rai beneficiaries across the hills. There are reports of under constructions houses by West Bengal Khambu Rai Development Board have damaged by the landslides in Singtam TE, Nagrifarm, Rampuria etc.

We have also received the request to assist Landslide victim, whose house has been completely damaged by landslide in Soom TE, Darjeeling. Chairman of West Bengal Khambu Rai Development Board has taken the matter very seriously and trying to cooperate with the landslide victims.
