All Hills Development Boards jointly held a protest rally in Mirik against the Hathras incident on October 11. Chairman of Khambu Rai Board, Mr. Dipraj Rai had coordinated the program for protest rally. Members of all hills Boards actively participated in the protest rally, excluding Sherpa Board and Minority Board.

During the protest rally, Mr. Dipraj Rai, chairman of Khambu Rai Development Board condemned the shameful incident and demanded the justice to the family of rape victim. The protest rally was organized to express the solidarity with the family of the Hathras rape victim.
