This time, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was in Darjeeling for two major events. A huge protest rally was organised against NRC and CAA in Darjeeling on January 22, 2020, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee participated along with her all supporters from the hills. During the occasion, chairman of Khambu Rai Board and its members were also participated in traditional attire.

On January 23, 2020, 123rd birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose was observed in presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Chowrasta. All the hills Board’s chairman including Khambu Rai Board Chairman participated in the event.
