Annual General meeting Of WBKRDB was held at GDNS, Darjeeling on 23rd December 2016 to introduce our new Member Secretary Shri Pritam Limbu,DPLO, Darjeeling to the Board Members and also to discuss the progress report of the Board.
The following agenda were discussed.
Firstly the new Member Secretary, Shri Pritam Limbu was introduced to the Board Members present and warmly welcomed by the members and the staff of the Board.
The CA Audit report for the year 2015-16 was placed before the board and after a threadbare discussion passed unannimously.
The progress of construction of Yalamben Khambu Khim was discussed and because of the demoniotisation and embargo on withdrawal of money the pace of work came almost to halt and inspite of this 100 houses were in near completion and all efforts were to be applied so that the houses can be completed phasewise 200 by January end, 200 by February end and rest 100 completing 500 houses by March,2017.
Other developement works to be carried out were;
Cultural Study Center Harsing,Darjeeling – 15 lakhs, Cultural study center Delo, Kalimpong – 7 lakhs, Devotees shelter at Mahakal Dara, Darjeeling -5 lakhs.
Drinking Water Supply : Tode, Teesta Valley, Rongchong, Pudung, Rimbik 30 lakhs.
KhambuRai Language Learning Center 20 nos-0. 6each – Rs. 12 lakhs.
Printing of Rai Language book 5000 – 1.5 lakhs, printing of Rai language alphabet Chart -0.5 lakh.
Tution fee for 100 final year students and 10 candidates for career guidance – 10 lakhs.
Cultural Dance training center 20 nos @ .6 each – 12 lakhs.
Environment awareness program :
- Creation of nursery for seedlings 50000 7.5 lakhs
- Fuel saving devices Demonstration and training 20 villages 2 lakhs.
Traditional weapon ; Archery Competition – 5 lakhs.
The members responsible for preparation of the estimates for the above development works were requested to prepare the estimates as per prevailing norms and submit so that further action can be taken for execution of the schemes.
